THANK YOU !
FOR YOUR INTEREST IN CONTEMPORARY LIGHTING
Morning guys! Today we present you the Mygdal lamp made by Nui Studio. This lamp is a special piece of a self-sustaining ecosystem that allows plants to grow free of the need for sunshine or water. Mygdal comes from the term “fertile soil”, a danish term. By now, you can imagine the range of luminaire opportunities this innovation brings.
The new lamps come in two different size: pendant lamp and standing lamp. The second one has an electrically conductive glass coating rendering an invisible connection between the power source and the LED.
Emilia Lucht and Arne Sebrantke, creators of Nui Studio like to say:
“The aesthetic combination of light and plants inside a mouth-blown and hand-finished glass lamp creates a soothing atmosphere.”
Nui Studio was founded in 2014 by the creative duo Emilia Lucht and Arne Sebrantke in northern Germany. This studio likes to explore unconventional ideas to enrich the daily life and this project is the reflection of this philosophy.
