Take a look at this entire redesigned Victorian house in north London by William Tozer Associates, introducing a white, modern living area that faces out onto a neighboring brutalist estate.

The London-based firm has refurbished and reconfigured this house in Highgate. Part of an Italianate terrace where behind it, you can find the Abbey Road housing co-op, and the design was developed with that in mind.
EDITOR’S CHOICE:
Ike Pendant from DelightFULL
To complete the look of the phenomenal kitchen, we would add some pendants above the counter. These Ike pendants, in Black and Gold, would add some contrast to the white colors of the kitchen. Also, this DelightFULL lamp adds a modern yet industrial feel to any space!
On the lower ground, there is an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area that looks directly onto the estate through floor-to-ceiling glazing.
“The modern intervention is articulated as a clean cut into the original building fabric, into which a sleeve of modern architecture is inserted,” said the architects.
EDITOR’S CHOICE:
Graphic Collection from DelightFULL
To highlight the outdoor space, maybe would be funny to add some vibrant and funky light to give live to the space. The letter W, from DelightFULL Graphic’s collection, with its pop script typeface, will transform any project into an amazing scene, with its very sleek forms and pureness, attributing a lot of style to any exterior.
“The renovation creates a white and raw-concrete frame through which to view the neighboring building, visually recasting it as a found-object modern art installation,” added the designers.
The tiled floor from the overhauled house, continues out onto the external courtyard, providing a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living areas.
Retaining walls containing planters and steps leading to a raised terrace are cast in crisply detailed concrete to create a visual link to the materiality of the brutalist buildings and the simplicity of the white cabinetry.
The lower-ground level is connected to the rest of the house by a staircase featuring open timber risers. These risers intersect with a glass balustrade, lending them a sense of weightlessness.
