Are you sure that you are a mid-century and lighting designer lover? If you truly are, then you know that September means trade shows in two of the biggest capitals in Europe: Paris and London! Our favorite interior design brands will be showcasing their pieces in both trade shows, but today we are all about Maison et Objet! It is officially time to start getting ready for Maison et Objet September!

Happening between the 8th and the 12th of September, this edition of Maison et Objet is a way to close the January edition and prepare what is to come next year. As we have told you a couple of weeks ago, this edition’s theme is “Comfort Zone“, a natural step further of the January’s theme ‘Silence’. And what could be a better style to create your own comfort zone than the mid-century decor style?
WHAT TO EXPECT?
First things first, you can expect to see a lot of bright and boldcolors, as well as incredible finishes such as gold-plated brass and polished brass. You can also expect to feel like you are inside a Palm Springs luxurious home from the 1960s or even a Hollywoodesque bar where all the celebrities met.
You can also expect to see some of the most iconic mid-century modern furniture pieces reinvented by Essential Home. That is the case with Dandy sideboard, which was on display during this January’s edition of the interior design show, and it was a complete success. And marbles! Get ready for the best marble details, as well as wooden veneers.
Expect a lot of unique lighting pieces inspired by some of the biggest musicians of the mid-20th century. Graphic lamps will also be making a small appearance, which is great if you are planning an outdoor project or a more over the top interior.
