Paris Design Week is literally 10 days away. This means that your excuses for not attending one of the biggest design festivals in Paris of the year have pretty much run out by now. So now that we have settled that you are attending Paris Design Week from the 8th until the 16th of September, here is a list of the events you can’t miss during that week!

The design hubs will be located in four main areas of the city: Saint-Germain-des-Prés; Les Halles/Les Marais/Bastille; Opéra/Concorde/Étoile; and Barbès/Stalingrad.

Maison & Objet

Maison & Objet will be happening from the 8th until the 12th of September. And if you are an interior design lover and mid-century lighting is your thing – which totally is – then make sure to stop by Hall 7 – Stand F33 to visit DelightFULL’s out of the box space!

The Now! Le Off

“At each edition of Paris Design Week, the Springboard for new design talents Now! Le Off and the Rado Star Prize reward the best projects, those that innovate in terms of form and materials. The 2017 winner of the jury prize is Julien Manaira for his astonishing shelving unit once liquid plastic.”

Jazz à La Villette

If you are a music and/or jazz enthusiast, from the 31st of August, until the 13th of September you will be able to enjoy incredible concerts all around town. Being a 14-day festival, Jazz à la Villette will allow you to attend all the other events in the city without having to miss a great jazz party later in the evening.

Festival de l’Automne

From the 13th until the 30th of September, the Festival de L’Automne will once again celebrate the beginning of the Fall season, with a fabulous line-up of events and exhibitions that celebrate contemporary visual art, cinema, theater, music and more.

Le Grand Feu

Happening on the 9th of September, Le Grand Feu is probably the largest fireworks display in Paris, and it will happen in Parc de Saint-Cloud on the outskirts of the city. Usually, a bonfire is lit in front of the park’s waterfall and the display begins as soon as the sun sets over the city. Take note – however – that this is a paying event, but you can also enjoy the fireworks spectacle around the city.
