Designed by Atelier du Pont, this contemporary holiday cabin makes the most of the natural landscape surrounding the home. The structure minimizes its impact on the land and on the existing vegetation. One of the focal points of the studio was to preserve as many trees as possible while also designing the house in harmony with the topography and the surroundings.
Inspired by the classic mountain cabins, the house features multiple openings that enhance the interior’s relationship with nature, as well as mostly wooden cladding to blend the structure in the nearby pine grove.
In the outdoors, the pool area has a wooden deck as well as a sandy beach section, both serenaded by the rustling of the surrounding trees and vegetation. A perfect place to spend time in.
The interior home decor is simple and it fits with its surroundings. Soft colours and clean, simple furniture adorn the home with the purpose of making the home even more appealing to the sights.
The contemporary lighting fixtures are seen in the whole home. With several styles, the lighting was something thought to make the most of the existent space while not taking credit or the glow of the rest of the space.
