A mid century modern house, located in California, USA, that was designed by the well known real estate developer, Joseph Fichler. After fours year of renovation, John and Karen are pleased to show us the final result. The house that become their home where they will raise their children. The Northern California house was a major design success, and Contemporary Lighting’s blog couldn’t miss the shot to see it!
The proud owner of the house, Karen shared that they fell in love! ““We fell in love with Eichler homes and mid-century modern design after seeing a nearby open house for a thoughtfully restored and renovated Eichler,” Karen says. “We decided we wanted to live in an inspiring home like that one, as a place to raise our boys and entertain friends and family.”
LIVING ROOM
If you want a great example of a beautiful mid-century living room décor … well, you’re seeing one! The ceiling skylight caught our attention, such as the chosen lighting fixture, we consider that, when it comes to decoration, this is one of the most important features.
The couple even said that what they love the most is Eichler’s special attention to details, “We have worked hard to bring back some architectural details that were once taken away from the house, such as glass windows and warm wood materials.”
