Carlo Donati is one of the greatest interior designers, we are aware. However, we are completely in the dark when speaking aboutCarlo Donati‘s New Mid Century Collection. Today we’ll unveil some details about this amazing collaboration with the Portuguese Design brand, Essential Home.
Designing for Essential Home is a challenge I took up with enthusiasm because it gives me the opportunity to work on one of my favorite styles and moods which is the mid-century modern reloaded with new cues and materials
Contemporary means ‘at the moment’, which makes this style particularly hard to define. Dating back to the 1970s, this style is unique because it borrows elements from many other aesthetics. In it, you can see nods to modern, traditional, art deco and even futuristic design. At the end, it means that contemporary style is always evolving, and the does its best to be always updated with the latest design trends. Nowadays, it can be defined by neutral colors, clean an curved lines and minimalism.
Slidding screens are also one of the biggest design trends of the year 2020. Inspired by the minimalistic style of Japanese Design, slidding screens are the easy solution to create a border in your open space when it’s needed.
We all know that Carlo Donati loves working with different types of materials, fabrics and explore new techniques that the design world can offer. Following Essential Home‘s signature style, we are sure that the Italian designer will surprise us with an entire mid-century collectionof neutral tones, clean lines, curved shapes, geometric patterned fabrics and the best natural materials such as wood and marble.
