Today´s subject takes place in the US, most concretely on a contemporary inspirational apartment in Los Angeles. This L.A. apartment is owned by Adam Hunter, a famous American interior designer.
Adam Hunter was built for success. He knows the importance that a house has in your life. Is not just a place where you live, eat and sleep, is more than that. A house is a part of who you are. Is the welcoming point to people that you trust, is your shelter, is a place to relax and to be comfortable, is your private space and that´s why nobody will ever know you like the walls at your home do.
Untouched since the late 60’s, the apartment was not graceful at all, so the design team had to make a change. Every interior wall in the 1,000-square-foot space was tear down to create a blank canvas.
The white-oak flooring was imported from France and placed in a classic delightful pattern that extends to the master bath and balconies. The ceiling was dropped roughly five inches throughout to achieve a “halo” effect according to Hunter.
The bedroom has sophisticated details, that give this space smooth and nice vibe. The combined floor and the shower in the room, are two very creative ideas. The color scheme was also a genius move by Hunter and his team. The sun was also invited to give the room some extra clarity. Smooth move Hunter.
The tailored dining nook represents a small space on the apartment and maybe that´s the reason that makes this area so cozy. There is a huge window that allows more illumination to enter, and the light goes really well with the waterfall chandelier hang on the ceiling.
In the living room, you can see new windows that give you a panoramic view of the city. The white painting goes really well with this wooden floor, the curtains, and the sofas (basically with the brownish color). Ample space filled with top interior design.
