His immaculately refurbished 1940s ranch-style dwelling, suspended high above the city, in the Hollywood Hills, is filled with classics of the 20th-century. The living room is a well-edited haven of vintage pieces. Our favorite one is a Stilnovo floor lamp from Lewis Trimble Decorative Arts & Antiques, and a Ludwig Mies van der Rohe daybed.

“Furnishing a home is no different than going into the studio and making music,” Levine says. “You want to make sure you’ve pared down all the extra details so that in the end, every stitch has a context uniquely yours.”

The terrace of Levine’s restored ’40s ranch-style house overlooks a palm-fringed pool. So dreamy!

The Philippe Starck–designed bedside lamp shaped like an AK-47 looks stunning in his bedroom.  “I blame it on Lenny Kravitz,” Levine says. “He had one in his apartment in Paris when we were doing a tour there, and I knew I had to get one. It took me months to track it down.”

One end of the master bedroom includes a Wurlitzer baby grand piano, a custom-made ottoman, and an industrial floor lamp that fits perfectly in the room.

Maroon 5’s Grammys find a home on an amazing George Nelson cabinet, that adds a sophisticated mid-century vibe.

The marble-clad master bath features an antique claw-foot tub that mirrors the habitat of a man who is confident in his tastes.
