Influenced by vintage scientific equipment CTRLZAK design studio has created KRYPTAL. This piece is a table contemporary lamp which was designed for the eclectic brand JCP universe. It resembles an imaginary instrument that could come out of an chemical lab.

For starters, JCP isn’t just furniture … it envolves a wide spectrum of cultural as well as art and design collaborations and events. It can be described as “part design related, part culture orientated”. The reality of this company is that they are a cultural product and an intrinsic part of the company’s openness to the public is to share things that one doesn’t have to buy.
The base of CTRLZAK‘s lamp is made of lava stone with the supporting structure in matte brass. Its simple mechanism allows the frame to be regulated in diverse heights while two finishes of borosilicate glass have been chosen for the main body.
The lower part is in ‘opalino’ glass and the higher part in transparent ‘rigadin’ glass. Finally, the lamp’s light source is hidden, alimented by an internal led light bulb that is switched on via a touch sensor.
