Having opened its doors almost a year ago, in July of 2016, Bronte Restaurant & Bar in London is already one of the best and trendiest places to eat when visiting one of Europe’s most famous and cosmopolitan capitals. Featuring the particularity of having been designed by one of England’s most famous designers, Tom Dixon himself, Bronte is full of color and amazing lighting designs, as well as a sophisticated vibe very hard to find anywhere else in the city. But let’s cut to the chase, and see the amazing interiors of this incredible restaurant.
The best way to understand Bronte and its concept is to take their own words:
“Situated on the Strand, gateway to London Theatreland, Bronte restaurant and bar is an airy and unique space overlooking Trafalgar Square. A short walk from Charing Cross or Leicester Square, the new London restaurant is ideal for breakfast meetings, business lunch, or dinner with a relaxing cocktail or glass of wine.”
“The stylish interior from iconic British designer Tom Dixon features bespoke private dining areas awash with curiosity cabinets and collectibles.” Almost guessing that Greenery would be Pantone’s Color of the Year, shades of green and a lovely pastel pink were featured a little bit all over the restaurant. This creates a sophisticated and very inviting atmosphere.
“Against a neutral backdrop, sit large feature elements in extraordinary materials – a pink concrete breakfast bar, a green granite kitchen, and a pewter cocktail bar, custom design furniture with green leather and black timber booths – each celebrating a different part of the eclectic all-day food and drink offering.”
Tom Dixon lighting designs are literally everywhere. So, if you’re a fan of his amazing work (and of course you are, because who isn’t?) this is literally the perfect place to visit when you’re in London. Stunning Tom Dixon lamps everywhere, great food and an inspiring ambience make Bronte Restaurant & Bar one of our favorite spots all across London.
Finally, you should know that it was actually Design Research Studio (DRS) which created the interiors for this new bar and restaurant on The Strand, London under the creative direction of Tom Dixon. The restaurant overlooks Trafalgar Square and is inspired by the history of the Strand, Victorian explorers, extraordinary collectors and the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’.
