In a special partnership between Essential Home, DelightFULL, Carlo Donati & Studiopepe, the Portuguese design brands are ready to unveil some details about the future collections! Get to know a little bit more about the designers behind these amazing brand New Mid Century Collections!

Carlo Donati & Studiopepe are two strong names of Italian Design. Both specialized in residential, commercial and hospitality projects, the designers accepted the challenge of Essential Home and are designer two special collections, that you cannot miss! iSaloni 2020 was postponed, but these collections will be launched on time! Studiopepe was fouded in 2006 by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto. The projects have a peculiar manifestation: a uniting poetic vision and rigorous design.

The design duo work with residential and hospitality projects – each of them, characterized by peculiar and dynamic design – product design and creative direction.

Winners of the amazing Best Design Collaboration on this year’s Créateurs Design Awards 2020, the dynamic duo decided to accpet another challenge and create a brand new collection for the mid-century portuguese brand, Essential Home.

Studiopepe’s projects are recognizable by their strong iconographic identity, based upon experimenting, continuous research on colours and materials and the contamination between the various contemporary languages with the intent to provide a solution that is uniquely special
and respectful of each client’s individuality

The biggest challenge for this brand new collection was to not create a scenography scenario, otherwise, the final result could be counter-productive. “We live in 2020, even though I appreciate those ages, we are here, and it is cool to get inspiration from those years, making a re-elaborated version with a contemporary touch, as the Great Gatsby’s house, or inspiration from theatre”, enhanced Chiara.

Carlo Donati is one of the greates names when speaking about Italian or international design. Born in Zibello (Parma) in 1965, Carlo Donati studied architecture at the Politecnico of Milan where he graduated in 1992. A few years later, in 1995 moved to New York where, as a consultant architect of Versace Group, he renovates Gianni Versace’s townhouse and the historic Vanderbilt Mansion, the main flagship store on the Fifth Avenue.

Designing for Essential Home is a challenge I took up with enthusiasm because it gives me the opportunity to work on one of my favorite styles and moods which is the mid-century modern reloaded with new cues and materials
