THANK YOU !
FOR YOUR INTEREST IN CONTEMPORARY LIGHTING
We’ve been living in rough times. The pandemic crisis has affected us all, and social distancing is required to avoid a worldwide breakdown. All designer lovers and professionals would by by now heading to London, the capital city of fashion and design, for one of the greatest design events of the year: London Design Festival. This year’s edition wasn’t cancelled, and the 2020 Festival has decided to go digital, such as other design tradeshows like M&O September. The 18th edition of London Design Festival will start tomorrow until the 20th of September, and it will bring you several design news, new products, design talks, and more, as always!
London Design Festival was launched back in 2003, by the Co-Founders Sir John Sorrell CBE and Ben Evans CBE, that had the aim to promote London as the official capital city of design and fashion.
This year, the festival will give voice to the design community with an interesting schedule ahead of us! “More than ever, we want to stage a Festival that puts a spotlight on the brilliance of the design community in London and the UK. Whether you are visiting online or in-person this year, we invite you to join in and enjoy all the Festival has to offer. We warmly welcome you to the 2020 London Design Festival and we hope you enjoy it”.
The previous editions counted with an astonishing number of more than “450,000 individual visitors from over 75 countries. These visitors contributed to an overall 991,000 visits to London Design Festival events with 150,000 people passing through Broadgate each day having the opportunity to see Landmark Project Villa Walala. In addition, London Design Festival helped drive a total of 173,250 visits to the V&A over the Festival period with 22% of those surveyed saying they had never visited the museum before and were driven there by the Festival“.
London Design Festival, as usual, counts with different programes and projects, from Design Districts, Design Destinations, Various Designers: Connected – a new digital talk feature, and of course, digital showrooms, where you can explore new pieces. You can check the entire plan of activities here.
100% Design is a design fair, one of the many activities of #LDF, where many renowned design brands take the change to show their unique designs to the world. Have a sneak peek of last years’ highlights!
